The ingredients needed to make Turmeric Rice:
  1. Make ready 2 cups rice(I used long grain local rice)
  2. Make ready 1 tbsp powdered turmeric
  3. Make ready Pinch seasalt
  4. Make ready 2 medium sized carrots
  5. Make ready 1 small bulb Spring onion
  6. Get 1 tsp oil
  7. Make ready Clean Water
Steps to make Turmeric Rice:
  1. Place some water enough to cover the rice in a pot and bring to boil
  2. Add the raw rice(stone and dirt free)
  3. Parboil for 10 minutes wash to reduce starch and strain in a colander
  4. Put water in the pot again enough to cook the rice, bring to a boil, pour in the parboiled rice, add salt, some diced onions and oil, cover and allow to cook.
  5. When the water is almost dry, add some chopped carrots and spring onions. Steam and it's ready to be served.
  6. The taste is wow, the crunchy πŸ₯• and scallions,πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹, can be served with stew or sauce of choice. I almost finished eating before I served with vegetable stew
